Regardless, I am so thankful that I didn't get in and that I took this class because without it I never would have found my dream school or recognized my potential. This class taught me to meet an extreme deadline (two weeks, roughly 30 pages) and it taught me that there is more to life than South Jersey. I corrected my resume, made a cover letter and found out what a CV was. I learned about publishers and self publishing and other opportunities outside of just being an educator (so not me) or an author.
The number one thing I learned is that there are career opportunities out there, regardless of what your professors say. You just have to market yourself and put yourself out there.
