I wouldn't have a problem making my Facebook into a professional page, but writers don't have open personal pages because fans and interested parites would never cease to contact them. Thus, personal messages and relationships would get lost in the mix. I would have separate pages just to better be able to keep track of my personal life and my professional life. I do not have a resume available online, but I'm assuming we'll either figure out how to do it together or I'll do it myself after this class is over and I've learned everything that I can.
Having published work is definitely a good thing, but I see nothing wrong with promoting yourself online without the added bonus of published work. Put in your own work in different tabs to showcase your talents. How else are potential employers or publishers going to know what you'er capable of? Talk yourself up. It never hurts.
