Above all else I fear failure.
But I will not give up.
Now, on to a less serious topic: recreational reading! I'm trying to get in as much as I can before the start of term because I know that I'll have more pressing commitments at that point. So right now my life consists of working, reading and watching Breaking Bad on Netflix. Now, I like to keep track of my reading on Goodreads. Normally, I don't give any kind of a rating to the books I read and I never write a review. All I do is mark what I'm reading to keep track of it for myself. Lately, however, I've been reading reviews after I finish a book to see how others feel about it as well. Some of the reviews are not only hilarious but also spot on. Particularly a review that I read for Why We Broke Up by David Handler.
The book itself was okay (the narrator was very long winded) but the review was fantastic. It took me a while to warm up to the book. At one point I found myself questioning why I even began the book. About halfway through, however, I found that I wanted to read the book. The review said pretty much the same thing. Who knew someone else would feel exactly the same way that I did. If other people agree with me, even if they don't know it, what's stopping me from putting my own opinion out there? Should I post my own reviews of the books I read? Should I post them on here?
